The Lorelei Plateau is one of the places of longing for Germans, the rock is the most sung about place of Romanticism on the Rhine. In the cultural and landscape park, one strolls along the traces of cultural history. Winding paths lead through trees, bushes, and flowerbeds to six viewpoints with spectacular views into the canyon-like Rhine Valley. The Strahlenweg leads directly to the top of the legendary rock, 125 meters above the waters of the Rhine. Since 2023, a statue of Lorelei, invented by Clemens von Brentano in 1802, stands there. The centerpiece of the park is the Glass Rock with the Hall of Myth. Inside, the legend of the fair maiden is staged with ethereal sounds and color symphonies. At several interactive stations, one can immerse themselves in the cultural history of the World Heritage Valley. The restaurant and event building at the entrance to the park houses a shop with regional products on the ground floor. In the Tourist Information Pavilion, visitors can view a Lorelei exhibition, browse in the souvenir shop, and watch a film about the Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Concerts by internationally renowned musicians take place on the open-air stage. The premium hiking trail "Rheinsteig" runs directly past the landscape park.
